Laukvik
Laukvik (Laukvika) is a small fishing village located on the outer side of Austvågøya in Vågan municipality.
Laukvik has long fishing traditions and is one of the fishing villages that still has an active fishery with its 10-15 local fishing boats and fish farms.
Here you’ll also find the old Stangerholmen estate from 1880, with unique decorations by artist Henning Welford. The village is known for the Laukvik Days (first weekend in July) and its Northern Lights Observatory. However, it’s probably the nature itself that attracts visitors. The big attraction is catching the midnight sun from the pier.
